Frequently asked questions

Before the first consultation

General, informational answers. Each situation requires individual analysis.

How does the first consultation work?

It is a confidential conversation with our team, by video call or in person at the office, to understand the facts and review the available documents. If you decide to hire us, fees are set out in a written agreement, in line with the fee schedule of the São Paulo Section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP).

I live in another city or outside Brazil. Can you assist me?

Yes. We serve clients throughout Brazil, regardless of distance, and Brazilians living in other countries. Court proceedings in Brazil are electronic, and meetings are held by video call, in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

My health plan denied coverage for a treatment. What documents should I gather?

Keep the insurer's denial (preferably in writing), the medical report and prescription, the plan contract or membership card and proof of payment of the monthly premiums. These documents allow a prompt assessment of the appropriate course of action.

Can probate be done before a notary?

When the heirs agree and the legal requirements are met, probate can be carried out before a notary, usually more quickly. In both cases, in court or before a notary, a lawyer's participation is mandatory.

I was the victim of a scam or banking fraud. What should I do first?

Notify your bank immediately and ask for a reference (protocol) number, file a police report and keep receipts, messages and the phone numbers involved. Acting quickly increases the chances of freezing and recovering the money.
